This picture was taken at 7am. It was the only time not too hot for us and to be able to go to the beach with bebe.
Carefully plan your trip if you intend bringing a young baby. Specially consider the season, given that Summer is Winter in Europe and vice versa.
I don’t recommend going during summer. I left Brazil 4 years ago and I totally forgot how hot it can get in January. I feel like we could not enjoy our time that much because we could only go out very early in the morning or when the sun had set.
Theodore was 4 months old, I was breastfeeding so we were both constantly sweating on each other. Imagine the situation, me drinking like 7 litres of water per day and preoccupied that my son would get dehydrated because of the hot weather.
Because we were both sweating, sometimes he wouldn't eat a lot so I was pumping and giving him the bottle like I did in Abidjan.
- You don’t need to worry about clothes. He was in heaven ! Naked (only diapers) all day long (at home).
Because pretty much all restaurants and boutiques they put the lower air conditionner so take some clothes even if it’s too hot outside.
- Water - don’t drink tap water! If your hotel or bed and breakfast use a filter. Mother Nature appreciates.
- Bring your car seat if you can or try to borrow one.
